PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Nyiko Masango, also known as Mr Dynamix, stopped over in Plettenberg Bay last week on Day 21 of his 27-day journey from Beitbridge to Cape Town, in an attempt to further his campaign ‘Presence in Fatherhood'.
Mr Dynamix made his way into Plettenberg Bay on 11 December having cycled 164km from St Francis on the day, while having already completed just over 2 600km of his total 3 143km journey, that started off at the Beitbridge border post between South Africa and Zimbabwe on 21 November.
He has since cycled through five of South Africa's nine provinces with the journey set to conclude on 17 December, in Cape Town.
While the cycle from St Francis to Plett was Masango's longest single-day stretch, his final six days after Plett include four of his five shortest stretches.
"I planned it like this, to allow for me to be able to wind down and cool down as I head into the final leg into Cape Town," Masango said.
Masango's ride has been in aid of his Presence in Fatherhood, which aims to emphasise the importance of having an involved father figure around in a child's upbringing. "
