KNYSNA NEWS - Two suspects appeared in the Knysna Magistrates’ court on Monday, 30 July after they were positively linked to a house tobbery and burglary incidents.
Members on patrol noticed two suspicious looking men walking at Rhobololo near White Location. They searched the men and found laptops and cell phones in their possession. Both suspects were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property.
A report of a House Robbery was later reported at the Knysna police station and some of the recovered items were positively linked to this incident. It is alleged that the 41-year old victim heard a noise outside her flat at Hill Street, Knysna on Saturday, 28 July at about 06:00. She went to investigate when two men confronted and assaulted her. The Suspects fled from the scene with three laptops, two cell phones and some personal belongings of the victim.
Further investigation also linked the suspects to a burglary that was reported recently at a house at Mbobo Street, Joodsekamp.
The suspects, Siyabulela Makhazi(30) and Nkoselizwe Mbalukwana(29), are facing charges of House robbery, Housebreaking and Theft and possession of stolen property. This matter was postponed to 03 August for a formal bail application. Both suspects remains custody.
