KNYSNA NEWS - Amble Ridge Retirement Village in Knysna will this week be the venue for the Knysna Roses 2020 Convention, which will double as the Knysna Spring Rose Show.
The honour of hosting the national Rose Convention only comes by Knysna once every 10 years or so, and therefore the fact that the event was postponed from 2020 until 2021 has caused anticipation to skyrocket.
Members of the Federation of Rose Societies of South Africa (Rosa) from around the country will be flocking to Knysna for the special occasion this week.
The convention will feature lectures from various rosarians from around the world and will also see roses put on show for judging in the competition.
The convention will start at 08:30 today, Friday 29 October, with lectures continuing until about 13:00. From then onwards the rose show and exhibition will take centre stage until 17:00.
The show and exhibition will continue the following day, Saturday 30 October, from 09:00 until 16:00.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and revel in the beauty of the roses that will be on display.
