KNYSNA NEWS - Following the food festivities at Oakhill College's annual SRC Food Evening recently, the spotlight turned to the Interact Fashion Show, with this year's theme being 'A Night Under the Stars'.
Students from Grades 10 to 12 took to the catwalk to model a range of clothing styles sourced from local stores including Salt, Tay from The Foundation, Norseman, Luna, Monkey's Raindance, BlueBird Thrift, Just Cruzin', Two on Toast, 34 Degrees South, French Kisses and Yokimono.
Matric learners Chloe Stewart and Ryan Albert expertly hosted the show, taking the audience on a celestial adventure with a lively programme of fashion and entertainment, along with a few well-planned 'failures' and witty comebacks that tickled the funny bones of the audience.
Highlights included the matric girls taking to the catwalk in their exquisite matric dance dresses, a surprise appearance by teachers modelling the ever-elusive lost property, and the long-standing tradition of a well-choreographed dance by the matric boys and girls.
The senior dance competition has become a must-have finale - the perfect way to end the chapter of their final school year.
The event raises funds for Oakhill Interact's outreach initiatives throughout the year.
The students extend a heartfelt thank you to the clothing stores that so generously kitted out the models in magnificent outfits.
