GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The South African Weather Service (Saws) has released its latest weather forecast for Sunday, 29 September.
The weather service has given an Orange level 5 warning for damaging winds and waves expected between Cape Agulhas and Plettenberg Bay, resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea for medium to large vessels - dragging anchors and breaking mooring lines, from today, Sunday 29 September through to Monday evening.
A Yellow level 4 warning was issued for disruptive snowfall leading to loss of livestock and crops as well as closure of mountain passes is expected over the Cape Winelands, Little and Central Karoo on Monday.
Very cold, wet and windy conditions leading to day-time temperatures of 10°C and below, are expected in places over the Western and Northern Cape on Sunday into Tuesday. These conditions may lead to possible risks for vulnerable people, livestock and pets.
