Two more children reported missing in Concordia late yesterday afternoon, aged 9 and 11, were found unharmed with relatives at 13:00 today, Saturday, September 6. It is unclear how the young girls could have spent a night sleeping over at someone else's home without the parents being informed of their whereabouts.
The first missing child, Liyema Baleni (9) of Bongani - now missing for ten days and last seen on Thursday, August 28 - remains missing.
The police’s search for Baleni continued this morning (Saturday) and included members of the Outeniqua K9 as well as Tsitsikamma K9 Unit diving in the Akkerkloof Dam in the forest at the back of Concordia.
At 14:43 they had found nothing yet.
Liyema Baleni is about 1,2 meters tall and was dressed in a pink jacket, grey top, white pants and brown boots at the time of her disappearance. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Knysna Police Station on 044 302 6608 or 044 302 6609.
