KNYSNA NEWS AND VIDEO - Knysna's own sea cadets band displayed their talents at the Knysna Oyster Festival oyster cooking and shucking competition on Tuesday night, 8 July.
The members of the band provided beat with drums and trumpets blaring, adding to an electric atmosphere in the Stella Artois marquee, where various restaurants were vying for top honours.
Simola emerged as the winner of the tastiest presented oysters, accompanied by a shot of champagne with a slice of chilli.
TS Knysna Sea Cadets is a non-profit organisation dedicated to training and preparing schoolgoing boys and girls for a career in the maritime industry.
