KNYSNA NEWS & VIDEO - Streaks of red roar through Knysna today as the car manufacturer Ferrari celebrates its 50th year of existence in South Africa.
Ferrari club chapters from across the country and the world have descended on Knysna to commemorate the event, and to make 29 September a day residents of the town will never forget.
All shapes, sizes, models and colours of Ferrari’s toured through Knysna on their way to the Knysna Waterfront, turning heads all the way.
According to chairman of the Garden Route Southern Equatorial Ferrari Automobili Club (Sefac) Alistair Gibb, SEFAC is the oldest Ferrari club outside of Italy.
The anniversary is being held along with a tour that started in Johannesburg and will end in Cape Town.
Today is Knysna’s turn to experience these high performance vehicles that is every red-blooded racing fan’s dream.

“We have more than 80 vehicles taking part, all arriving at different times in order not to cause too much of an issue with traffic,” said Gibb.
