KNYSNA NEWS - A small independent Christian school in Knysna today, Friday 16 May, celebrated a breakthrough achievement in sport at the school.
Ahead of 11-year-old Grade 5 learner Zoe Asamoah's arrival at KEC Academy School to be honoured for making the u.11 Eden girls' netball team, all the learners gathered in two facing formations in an outside area.
They stood on either side of a red carpet running to a gazebo, in which Zoe was to be officially handed her Eden team badge.
The gathered learners - dressed in their pyjamas to mark Pyjamas Day at the school - sang hymns as they waited excitedly for Zoe to arrive.
