KNYSNA NEWS - Residents are called to attend a community awareness campaign to be held at Sanlam in Nekkies this Friday, 7 November.
The campaign is jointly presented by Knysna Child Welfare, the South African Police Service (SAPS), and the Knysna Alcohol and Drug Centre.
The aim is to educate, empower, and engage residents around critical social issues affecting the community - including gender-based violence (GBV), substance abuse, and child protection.
Information sharing and distribution of GBV awareness materials will be on the programme. House visits will be made in and around Nekkies to ensure that important information reaches as many households as possible.
Through this collaboration, the three organisations hope to strengthen community relationships and raise awareness about the services and support systems available to those in need. The event starts at 10:00 and is envisaged to finish at 12:00.
Residents are encouraged to come out, break the silence, and take a stand for a safer, healthier community.
