PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Quiz night led by Plett’s King of Quiz, Barry Ricketts, took on a different show when members of the Lunchbox Theatre surprised quiz-goers at the Plettenberg Bay Golf and Country Club on Friday 25 January with an impromptu performance.
Ricketts said about R5000 was raised during the quiz night from participants and a raffle. Prizes for the evening were provided by Helen Melon Properties, Buco and Bodyzone.
“Quizzers, who were not aware that the performance would take place, were thrilled by the vibrant performance the Lunchbox Theatre put on,” said Ricketts. “The Lunchbox Theatre is a worthy of our support, doing something tangible for the community."
Stuart Palmer explained that Lunchbox Theatre raises awareness and develops knowledge and interest in environmental and social issues in South Africa through interactive theatrical experience.
The theatre has staged over 600 performances revealing a passion for dance, comedy and acting to assist with educating communities.
