KNYSNA NEWS - Cearn Hall on Leisure Isle was transformed into a vibrant venue for the Pre-Spring Soirée, an enchanting event hosted by Dr Ian Caldwell on 27 August.
The occasion featured stage performances and a relaxing picnic, all in support of Steenbok Nature Reserve and Knysna/Sedgefield Hospice. The festivities included a dinner party the night before.
Guests gathered on Sunday afternoon to enjoy captivating performances by Dr Ian Robert Caldwell and pianist Lesley Welch.
However, the primary focus of the event was to raise funds and awareness for the two causes. Steenbok Nature Reserve and Knysna/Sedgefield Hospice play vital roles in preserving the natural beauty of the area and providing compassionate care to those in need.
The soirée brought together individuals who shared a common goal of supporting these worthy causes, fostering a sense of community and collective responsibility.
As the event concluded, a sense of fulfilment and camaraderie lingered. The Pre-Spring Soirée successfully raised R5000 in donations.
