SEDGEFIELD NEWS - Knysna Municipality has issued a notice to residents of Sedgefield that power to parts of the town will be switched off for maintenance next week.
The interruption to the electrical supply will be from 07:30 to 16:00 on Wednesday 17 January. It will affect Uil Street as well as areas north of the N2.
In the case of rain, the interruption will move to Thursday 18 January. According to a Knysna Municipality social media statement, the interruption will be so that they can carry out "essential maintenance" to electrical infrastructure.
"Please consider all electrical equipment and supply points as LIVE as the power can be restored at any time before the projected interruption period. We apologise for any inconvenience.
