PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Some of the young students from music school Plett Strings have received high marks in their University of South Africa exams.
Music teacher Christina Kannemeyer said among those who passed their Unisa exams were students who had received lessons for only six months.
Kannemeyer said Mieke Oberholzer had passed her Grade 2 violin exam, and Tristan Kannemeyer his Grade 5 cello exam.

Sander Boettcher and Grace Willicot had passed their Grade 1 cello exams with merit, Hugo Berning (Grade 1 cello - 87%) had passed his exam with distinction, and Tristan Kannemeyer (Grade 4 theory of music - 85%) had passed his second exam with distinction.
"The entire Plett Strings group also participated at the 2024 Garden Route Eisteddfod individually as well as in the ensemble category, combined, and received loads of silver certificates," Kannemeyer said.
During the year students had played at events, markets, and at weddings.
