Butler, one of six men on trial following their arrest during a police raid during a dog fighting event outside Plettenberg Bay in May 2011, took his place in the witness stand on Thursday March 26.
During cross examination state prosecutor Chamelle Bastian indicated that she wanted to bring an application to pose some questions relating to the East London case to Butler.
