SEDGEFIELD NEWS - On Tuesday 24 January, Knysna Municipality issued a notice that the power supply to one of the areas around Groenvlei Lake will be turned off for two days in February to allow for repairs and maintenance.
"Notice is hereby given that there will be an interruption in the electricity supply on 7 February and on 21 February from 08:00 to 17:00. The Lake Pleasant area will be affected," the notice read. "The interruption is due to maintenance and repair purposes.
"Please consider all electrical equipment and supply points as live during this period since the power supply may be restored earlier.
"In the event of rain, the outage will take place on 8 February and 22 February and for further enquiries, members of the public can contact the municipality on 044 302 6397 or 6399 or 044 302 8911."
In other municipality-related news for the Slow Town, the Sedgefield licence and registration office is closed for the remainder of the week due to "resource challenges", according to the municipality.
During this period, Sedgefield residents may visit the Customer Services Centre (Old Standard Bank Building) in Main Road, Knysna for all licence and registration issues. Operating hours: 08:00 to 15:00.
