PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A planned power interruption in Plettenberg Bay, which was scheduled for Wednesday 5 May, has been postponed to Thursday following a series of technical challenges.
The Bitou Municipality’s electrical department was set to connect a new line to the transformer at the Kwanokuthula substation.
Bitou’s communication department said the planned electrical works could not commence due to various technical challenges. “Instead, the power outage will only commence from 08:00 to 12:00 tomorrow, 6 May 2021. This will only take place if the weather permits.”
The areas affected include the entire Kwanokuthula, Robberg Road and surrounding areas, Longships Road and surrounds, Beachyhead Drive and surrounding areas, the Beacon Island Hotel, the desalination plant, the bottom part of Piesang Valley Road and the River Club.
