KNYSNA NEWS - On Sunday 10 March, a peaceful yet powerful anti-drug protest took place near Lamco in Hornlee, organised by the Recovery Anonymous Programme (Rap).
Rap aims to create a supportive environment that encourages recovery and provides individuals with the resources they need to rebuild their lives.
The event was an effort to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse and highlight the importance of recovery and support.
The organisation currently operates in four locations including Knysna, Kranshoek, the Crags, and Rheenendal, actively working towards empowering individuals battling addiction and promoting a drug-free community.
The peaceful protest brought together community members, volunteers, and participants of the Rap programme.
The protest not only shed light on the challenges faced by those affected by drug addiction but also highlighted the positive impact that recovery programmes can have on individuals and communities.
Rap strives to break the stigma surrounding addiction and foster a society that embraces compassion, understanding, and support for those on their journey to recovery.
