KNYSNA NEWS - The Central Cape Presbytery celebrated a significant occasion last Saturday, with the ordination and induction of Rev Simphiwe Yoyo, who will serve both the Garden Route Congregation in Knysna and the ZD Mahomana Memorial Congregation in Plettenberg Bay.
Additionally, Rev Cecil Njengane was ordained on the same day to serve the Thembalethu Congregation. This event took place at the Khayalethu Community Hall in Knysna. It was a momentous day for the congregations and the community.
Heartfelt gathering
The service, led by Rev Andile George, the Moderator of the Presbytery, made for a heartfelt gathering, that included ministers from both the local and Central Cape Presbyteries. Congregants from three congregations, along with families, friends, and community members, filled the hall, which was overflowing with around 300 attendees.
Prayers were offered for God's mercy and guidance as the reverends embarked on their journey of service. It was a day of celebration and unity, marking a significant moment in the lives of those ordained.
