PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - One of Oakhill School's annual highlights, the SRC Food Evening and Interact Fashion Show, took place on Friday 18 August, providing plenty of fun and laughter, as well as raising much-needed funds for various local community projects.
Everyone attending had a wonderful evening, from the delicious international food on offer to the fun entertainment provided by musicians, dancers and models strutting their stuff.
Themed "modern canvas", the show carried through the essence of the Oakhill way, where students are blank canvases, encouraged to be who they are and guided to develop into the best version of themselves and their full potential.
Challenge Gobo led the evening superbly as master of ceremonies, and the students from Grades 10, 11 and 12 did a fantastic job of modelling fashion from our local shops and boutiques.
Thank you Old Khaki, Papagayo, Sportscene, Two on Toast and Three Broke Girls – without your amazing clothes, the show would not have been possible.
The Grade 12 boys ended off the show with a bang, modelling their matric dance outfits to Beyonce's hit Put a Ring on It.

Congratulations to the leaders of the student representative council, president Jamie Hattingh and vice president Luc van den Handel on their appointment for 2017-2018.
The Oakhill interact committee 2017-2018 has also recently been officially inaugurated by Knysna Rotarians, president Doug Emanuel and Lesley Satchel after the election of the incoming committee: Michaela Vogt (president), Leila Turner (vice president), Mia Venter (treasurer), Zoe Venter (secretary) and Eoghan Coetzee (assistant). Well done to Michaela Cross, who they also congratulated as the outgoing 2016-2017 president.
