Update
KNYSNA NEWS - The community and family of 28-year-old Athinkosi Jonas have united in protest, calling that no bail be granted to the four individuals accused of his murder in a suspected vigilante-style attack on Friday 1 August.
The suspects, three men and a woman, were arrested shortly after the incident and made their first appearance in the Knysna Magistrate's Court on Monday 4 August.
All four were remanded in custody pending a formal bail application.
The bail hearing is scheduled to take place today, Wednesday 13 August, with the community anxiously awaiting the outcome.
Emotions are running high as supporters of Jonas demand justice and oppose any possibility of the accused being released on bail.
