KNYSNA NEWS - Two new councillors, Andre van Schalkwyk of the DA, and Morton Gericke of the Plaaslike Besorgde Inwoners (PBI), have joined the Knysna council.
They were sworn in by Speaker Mncedisi Skosana on Monday 31 March.
They fill the vacancies left by the departure of councillors Alberto Marbi of the PBI and Elmarie Maxim of the DA earlier this month.
"The council extends its best wishes to Cllr Van Schalkwyk and Cllr Gericke as they take on their new responsibilities in service of the people of Greater Knysna. Their commitment and leadership will be vital in addressing key community needs and ensuring effective governance," the municipality said.
