KNYSNA NEWS - A new clinic is currently being constructed in Hornlee. The R48.7m Hornlee Clinic, located at the corner of Vigilance Drive and Stroebel Street, will replace the existing facility to better serve the growing population and increasing healthcare needs of the community.
Operating five days a week, the clinic will provide both chronic and acute care services, featuring a support care unit, eight consultation rooms, and dedicated counselling spaces.
Designed to minimise cost, maximise space, and enhance medical care, the clinic is a much-needed investment in public healthcare.
Construction began in January, with completion set for 2027.
Provincial Minister of Health and Wellness Mireille Wenger said she was delighted to see the progress made on the construction of the brand-new clinic. She said the clinic reflects the department's commitment to expanding access to quality care. "Investing in modern, well-equipped healthcare facilities is essential to meeting the increasing demand for public healthcare," she said.
