KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Oyster Festival has announced an exciting new partnership with automotive brands Omoda and Jaecoo, which will be the naming sponsors for the 2026 festival.
The partnership marks a new chapter for one of South Africa’s best-loved winter events, which returns from 3 to 12 July under the theme, ‘A Feast of Family Fun’.
Known for their combination of innovation, style and adventure, Omoda and Jaecoo are a natural fit for a festival that brings together outdoor experiences, sport, food and family entertainment in one of the country’s most scenic destinations.
Lungelo Zwane, brand manager for Omoda and Jaecoo, said they are proud to support an event that has become an important part of South Africa’s lifestyle and sporting calendar.
“The festival brings together people, places and experiences in a way that speaks to both brands, with Omoda aligning naturally with the lifestyle side of the programme and Jaecoo with the sport and adventure elements,” said Zwane.
“For us, this partnership is about showing up in a meaningful way - not only through vehicle displays, but also by being part of the moments festivalgoers look forward to each year. We are looking forward to being part of the festival atmosphere in Knysna and supporting a platform that brings people together through memorable experiences, exploration and community.”
Lungiswa Goya, manager for economic development at Knysna Municipality and spokesperson for the festival, welcomed the partnership and said it would help strengthen and grow the event into the future.
“We are thrilled to welcome Omoda and Jaecoo as the headline sponsor of the Knysna Oyster Festival. Partnerships like this are incredibly important in helping us continue to evolve and grow the festival while creating a world-class experience for visitors, participants and the local community,” said Goya.
“Omoda and Jaecoo are forward-thinking brands with a strong sense of adventure and innovation, and we believe this partnership is an excellent fit. We are excited about what we can build together in the years ahead.”
The 2026 Knysna Oyster Festival takes place from 3 to 12 July. The 10-day programme includes sporting events, family activities, food and wine experiences, nature adventures, markets and live entertainment across Knysna.
