KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Municipality has acquired two new light single-cab 4x4 firefighting vehicles and a double-cab bakkie, significantly enhancing emergency response and community safety.
The municipality says the acquisition of these new emergency response vehicles represent a major investment in strengthening its firefighting and disaster response capacity.
The official handover ceremony took place on 10 June in Rheenendal, where one of the new firefighting vehicles will be permanently stationed to improve response times and ensure more efficient service delivery to the community and surrounding areas.
The investment, valued at R4.578m, was made possible through a combination of grant funding and municipal own funding.
