KNYSNA NEWS & VIDEO - Knysna motorists are urged to avoid the Old Cape Road leading up to Eastford, due to a mudslide that has occurred.
The mudslide is the result of a pipe burst that happened at Eastford last week.
Municipal officials attended to the burst at the time however the leak sprung again at around 10 pm on Wednesday 8 May escalating into a mudslide that now restricts a dangerous bend on the road up to Simola.
It has also resulted in the mud flowing into the nearby home of some residents.
Gift of The Givers are currently at the scene to intervene in relief efforts.
Knysna Municipality is yet to release an update on the mudslide and provide a timeline as to when this issue will be resolved.

The mudslide occurring on Old Cape Road on the way to Eastford currently is situated on a dangerous bend, proving to be hazardous to both motorists and nearby residents.
