PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A major police operation throughout the Garden Route District, boosted by more boots on the ground from new recruits deployed over the festive season, has yielded “excellent results” as the police closed down unlicensed liquor outlets and drug dens.
At Qolweni in Plettenberg Bay, bystanders became rowdy and aggressive, and stones were thrown at police vehicles as they left the area.
Drugs with an estimated street value of R64 000, a firearm and 494 litres of liquor were confiscated during the operations in the Garden Route District.
