KNYSNA NEWS - Earlier today, Saturday 7 June, a memorial parade commemorated the lives lost in the 2017 Knysna fires. 

The procession began on Main Road and concluded at the Knysna municipal offices.

Eight years later, the scars of the disaster remain, but so too does the strength of the community.

Today’s commemoration featured speeches from local officials and moments of silence.
