EDEN NEWS - The 46 government high schools in the Eden and Central Karoo district achieved a pass rate of 81.7% – the second worst performing region in the Western Cape.

Of the 5 361 matriculants, 1 683 or 33,96% received a university entrance or bachelors pass.

•Overberg region had a pass rate of 87.7%.

•West Coast had a pass rate of 85.9%

•Cape Town Metropole North 85.8%

•Cape Town Metropole Central 84.1%

•Cape Town Metropole South 82.4%

•Winelands region had a pass rate of 82.4%

•Eden and Central Karoo region had a pass rate of 81.7%

•Cape Town Metropole East 77.7%

Six government schools in the Eden and Central Karoo district achieved a 100% pass rate:

•Heidelberg High School

•Langenhoven Gymnasium in Oudtshoorn

•Oakdale Agricultural School in Riversdale

•Point High School in Mossel Bay

•Shalom Academy in Ladismith

•York High School in George
