KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna detectives are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a 46-year-old man who was reported missing on Thursday, 22 January 2026.

Farrol Ritzenberg, of Essenhout Street in New Horizons, Plettenberg Bay, was last seen at the parking area of the Knysna Mall.

According to reports, he had accompanied family members to a medical facility earlier that day. 

After arriving at the mall, he was left alone in a vehicle, but had disappeared by the time his family returned. A search of the surrounding area was conducted, but yielded no results.

At the time of his disappearance, Ritzenberg was wearing a red top, black jeans and blue Crocs.

The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Mario Uithaler, has urged anyone with information that may assist police in locating the missing man to come forward.
