KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna & Partners’ Tourism Month programme #WalkKnysna has been a great success, with four walks already completed and just one to go.
The Jubilee Creek Forest Walk last week with Meagan Vermaas of Forest Guided Tours was well attended and the group reported that they had learned an enormous amount.
“It was very informative,” said Hanlie King. “I wish I could remember just half of what Meagan told us!” Anne Centner agreed. “Meagan is the most marvellous forest guide.”
Tuesday’s township tour to Smutsville, Sedgefield with local guides Michelle Lencoe from Lithemba Crafts & Tours, and Pam Snyman of Up Close and Personal Tours was also well received.
Knysna & Partners Sedgefield office manager Belinda Hobson said the group welcomed the opportunity to experience the diversity and hidden gems that Smutsville offers.
There is just one more #WalkKnysna event: Historical Knysna on Saturday 29 September, departing from the Knysna Tourism offices at 40 Main Street at 14:00.
The two-hour walk will be guided by the Knysna Historical Society. There is no charge and everyone, and all ages are welcome.
