SEDGEFIELD NEWS -  The Living Cornerstone was honoured in the Charity and Community category at the Celebrate Sedgefield Awards Ceremony last Friday. 

The event was hosted at the Pine Lake Lifestyle Estate.

Established by the Sedgefield Ratepayers and Residents Association, the Celebrate Sedgefield Awards aim to shine a spotlight on individuals and groups who tirelessly contribute to the lifeblood of the community - often working quietly without expectation of acknowledgment.

According to one of its members, The Living Cornerstone was founded in 2008 in response to the growing need for specialised, compassionate care for dementia sufferers in Sedgefield.

Since then, it has expanded and evolved, offering a safe, nurturing environment where residents receive attentive and personalised support.

The organisation's commitment to excellence is reflected in its focus on specialised staff training and in the warm, loving atmosphere that surrounds its residents.
