KNYSNA NEWS - Jan H van der Westhuizen, the chairperson of the Greater Knysna Business Chamber, has written a letter of thanks to members of the chamber, one of whom facilitated, together with municipal staff, the removal of the garbage dump at the Waste Transfer Station, the restoration of the compacting system there, and the truck that transports containers of compacted waste.
The chairperson wrote: "Dear Members of the Greater Knysna Business Chamber (GKBC)
"As the Chairperson of the GKBC, it is with immense gratitude and pride that I extend my heartfelt appreciation to every one of you.
"Your unwavering support and dedication to addressing the various issues in our town - whether it be water and sanitation, waste management, or road maintenance - are truly commendable.
Significant impact
"Your contributions, no matter how big or small, have made a significant impact on our community. Your active participation and commitment have demonstrated the power of collective effort in bringing about positive change.
"It is through your hard work and perseverance that we have been able to make strides in improving our town's infrastructure and overall quality of life.
"I would also like to extend a special thank you to those who have volunteered their time and effort in manning the GKBC stall at the Knysna Oyster Festival.
"Your presence and engagement have been invaluable in showcasing our Chamber's dedication to the community and in fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation.
"As Chairperson, I am incredibly encouraged by the enthusiasm and dedication shown by our members and the residents who have joined us in our mission. "Together, we are making a difference and proving ourselves to be true change-makers in our community.
