KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna council has mandated Speaker Mark Willemse (KIM) and Mayor Thando Matika (ANC), along with three senior municipal officials, to institute an urgent interdict against the Western Cape provincial executive should Knysna be placed under administration.
The resolution was passed at a special council meeting on Friday 18 July - the deadline set by Western Cape local government MEC Anton Bredell for submissions from Knysna on his Intention to Intervene.
This legal route could follow if Bredell rejects the consolidated response which the council noted on Friday.
