PLETTENBERG BAY NEWSFLASH - There has been on and off protest action over housing issues in the rural village of Kurland on the outskirts of Plettenberg Bay.
The action started after two informal dwellings went up in flames last week, highlighting the need for housing in the area.
Residents have since, on several occasions, blocked access roads into the area in an attempt to voice their concerns.
Municipal spokesman Manfred van Rooyen said Bitou law enforcement, police and public order police units were "on the ground" to address ongoing protests and incidents of intimidation.
