KNYSNA NEWS - Two months have passed since the traffic lights at the busy intersection of Long Street and Knysna's Main Road stopped working, and the silence from officials has been deafening.
Despite the intersection being a known traffic hotspot, the malfunctioning lights remain unfixed, raising serious concerns among local motorists and residents.
Drivers have continued to navigate the junction cautiously, but many are now questioning the prolonged delay and the apparent lack of urgency from municipal authorities.
A month ago, a group of Knysna municipal officials and department representatives were seen gathered at the intersection, sparking hope that a resolution was in the works.

However, no official statement, timeline, or plan of action has been made public.
The lack of communication is fuelling growing frustration in the community.
"Do they plan to have this light fixed, or do they think if they ignore it, it will go away?" asked Harry Griffin in a post on the Knysna Daily Facebook group. "They don't even care enough to give us feedback. It's just been radio silence ever since."
By the time of going to print, no official comment was received from Knysna Municipality.
