KNYSNA NEWS - French Ambassador David Martinon visited Knysna on February 28 to strengthen local and foreign relations.
The meeting, facilitated by Patrick Ceillier, the Representative of the French Community in the Southern Cape, highlighted the town's diverse industries, including property, textiles, tourism, finance, and ecology.
The focus was on improving local economic development and investing in skills development, particularly in micro-industries.
The meeting also highlighted Knysna's rich history and biodiversity.
The key focus was on fostering potential international partnerships between France, Spain, and Knysna, aiming to establish triplet cities.
The Ambassador was given a taste of Knysna through a tour of a local boat factory, lunch at Sirroco Knysna, and a yacht trip on Ocean Sailing Charters.
