KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Primary School's gymnasts delivered an impressive performance at the recent Eden trials in Mossel Bay, returning home with 11 bronze medals and a clean sweep of Eden District team selections.
All 11 gymnasts who competed at the trials were selected to represent Eden at the Western Cape Championships in Saldanha from 25 to 28 June.
The bronze medal winners were:
Level 3: Piper Freislich, Sophie Coetzee and Farrah Knights
Level 2: Emily Hougaard, Kunge Mnyamana, Amè Potgieter, Aria Burger and Sarah Joubert
Level 1: Chese-nese Comberg, Tayla Fechter and Ashleigh Walters.
Knysna Primary sport organiser Petroné Digue said the school is extremely proud of the gymnasts' achievements.
"To win 11 medals is a wonderful accomplishment, but to have every gymnast selected for the Eden team makes the achievement even more special. Their dedication, hard work and commitment have paid off, and we wish them every success at the Western Cape Championships," she said.
