KNYSNA NEWS - The Epilepsy South Cape/Karoo branch in Knysna last month received a welcome helping hand from the Knysna Nomads Golf Club through a donation of R95 000.
The donation was raised during the Knysna Nomads' annual golf tournament held last year.
It was used by the Epilepsy SA branch to renovate one of the flats on the branch's premises, that they are able to rent out as one of their sustainable income streams.
"We are thrilled with the way that the flat has turned out and we would like to say a special thank you to Peter Leibrandt for nominating us as the beneficiaries of the money raised during his term as Vice Captain of the Nomads, our Treasurer Liz Beard for managing the renovations, Francois Cloete from FJ Carpentry and Richard from Garden Route Branding Co.," said branch director Lee-Anne van den Bergh.
