KNYSNA NEWS - The annual Rotary and CANSA SA Shave-A-Thon, is set to take place on 9 March at the Knysna Mall.
The Shave-A-Thon has always served as a powerful initiative of solidarity and compassion for those facing cancer.
By shaving their heads or opting for a fun colourful temporary dye, participants can show their support for cancer patients and raise funds to support the vital care programmes offered by CANSA.
The Rotary and CANSA SA partnership has been instrumental in organising this annual event, which has gained tremendous support and participation from the local community over the years.
By coming together, the two organisations aim to create awareness about cancer and the importance of early detection, as well as provide assistance and support for those undergoing treatment.
The funds raised through the Shave-A-Thon play a crucial role in supporting CANSA's care programmes which include; providing emotional and practical support to cancer patients and their families, offering counselling services, facilitating support groups, and conducting educational campaigns to promote cancer awareness and prevention.
