KNYSNA NEWSFLASH & VIDEO - It is that time of the year again when CANSA's most popular fun fundraiser takes place - the CANSA Shavathon.

This year's theme is 'Loud in colour'. 

The Knysna Mall has come alive as brave individuals either shave their hair or spray in support of the Rotary Club's annual Shavathon.

We went to find out what motivated those having their hair done, to be there.

An emotional Yolande Bester just sprayed her hair, she says, "My father is my hero, it's so difficult to see him go through this but we always stick together and give him our support."

Anesipho Booi says he sprayed he's hair because he knows of a cancer survivor, "I wish more awareness about cancer could be raised in our communities, sometimes people feel the lumps and easily dismiss them and we later lose them to cancer because they are not aware of such, they stood a chance to fight this."
