KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Lions Club celebrates 50 years of selfless service this year, providing assistance to those in need.
They have hosted unique events, such as the "Anything that Floats" regatta, dinner dances, bowls days and golf days, to raise funds for charitable causes.
The Lions have played a crucial role in promoting health and well-being within their community, organising water-points for the Forest Marathon, supplying the area with a mobile burn unit, and organising special events for diabetic children.
The Lions have also been at the forefront of supporting various charities and addressing essential community needs.
They have donated tools and equipment to the Epilepsy SA local branch's furniture project, donated proceeds from the annual cycling event to sight projects, and collaborated with the SA Guide Dog Association to provide support to individuals with visual impairments.
The impact of the Knysna Lions' dedication and service over the past 50 years cannot be overstated.
Their efforts have improved the vision and quality of life for countless individuals, and their commitment to their community remains unwavering despite challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
