KNYSNA NEWS - National Library Week in Knysna will take place from 18 to 24 March.
The literary celebration will focus on the theme "Libraries Foster Social Cohesion," highlighting the importance of libraries in promoting inclusivity and community engagement.
The Town Library will launch the festivities with a Library Marketing and Orientation campaign, while Brackenhill Library will host the "Around the World Reading Adventure'' for children aged 12 to 19.
Khayalethu Library will support lifelong learning and literacy development with the Grade 12 Career Expo Day. Rheenendal Library will teach children about self-sustainability through gardening activities.
Hornlee Library will nurture artistic talents through Creative Arts sessions.
Masifunde and Rudolf Balie Libraries will engage young learners with word search games and celebrate World Poetry Day.
Sedgefield, Smutsville, and Karatara Libraries will host computer literacy workshops.
National Library Week will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the diverse range of activities and services that libraries offer to all residents.
