KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna recently hosted its first Knysna Extravaganza on the Knysna High School field.
The event, held on Saturday 25 November, provided an opportunity for the community to gather and celebrate the town's achievements and the remarkable accomplishments of its residents throughout the year.
From a lively parade honouring academic and sports achievements to engaging activities and informative seminars, the Knysna Extravaganza showcased the town's excellence in various domains.
The event was organised by Lee Vermaak of Creative Design with the aim of including all community stakeholders such as schools and NPOs in the area.The Hornlee Primary School Majorettes performing an item during the extravaganza.
The parade, which was the centre-piece of the Knysna Extravaganza, recognised the accomplishments of children in academic and sports activities.
It was a proud moment for the young achievers as they marched through the streets, greeted with enthusiastic applause from the spectators.
The winners of the Miss Knysna Pageant participated in the parade, as well as the Sea Cadets and the Hornlee Primary Mini Majorettes, who added colour and fun to the parade.

The activities of the festival took place on the Knysna High School field where guests and spectators could enjoy anything, from rugby matches to hot dog eating competitions to attending a seminar on gender-based violence in commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism campaign.
