KNYSNA NEWS - Greater Knysna remains a favourite winter vacation destination on the Garden Route for visitors looking to enjoy mild temperatures and a variety of entertainment options.
"Knysna is open for business and we look forward to welcoming our international and local visitors to our shores," said Mayor Thando Matika in a media release.

He said top billing goes to the popular Knysna Oyster Festival, taking place from 4 to 13 July this year, but added that venues throughout the area regularly host live music shows and other entertainment during the winter holiday.
The municipality will focus on ensuring that visitors are safe during their holiday.
"I can assure all visitors - and our locals - that the authorities will be working to ensure your safety," said Matika.
"Our traffic department and law enforcement officers will be working closely with our local police force to enforce our zero tolerance policy towards unlawful behaviour. If you are planning on visiting Greater Knysna this winter, you can do so with peace of mind. We look forward to sharing everything our area has to offer with you."
