Beaches being closed follows the shark attack at Buffel's Bay on yesterday afternoon. A Cape Town university student lost his leg.
Meanwhile bathers have also been warned by a councillor in the Bitou Municipality to exercise caution when entering the sea and surfers have been asked not to enter the water following a shark attack in Plettenberg Bay a day before this attack in Knysna.
