KNYSNA NEWS - At this month's Probus Club lunch, members had the privilege of hearing from guest speaker Eugene Vermaak of the Knysna Infrastructure Group (KIG).

Vermaak shared insights into the tremendous work being undertaken by this dedicated team of local residents.

The KIG, in collaboration with Knysna Municipality and the Western Cape Provincial Government, is doing huge work to address critical infrastructure challenges.

This is achieved by combining resources, expertise, and community spirit.

The assistance has included finding a replacement pump for sewerage works, repairs to water pumps to feed the town's water reservoir and also the appointment of a full-time engineer to assist with the repairs and maintenance to the infrastructure.

Knysna Probus Club members are retired and semi-retired professionals and businessmen who meet once a month for lunch at Knysna Golf Club.
