GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Women are beaten and abused every day, not only around the country but in the Garden Route. The TotalShutDown women's movement here in the Garden Route ask women of all ages and backgrounds to join this movement. They are planning a total shutdown on 1 August.
They want women to stand together and raise their voices against the wrongs that happen everyday.
The organisers say this is a national crisis. They call on all women to stay away from work on the day in their respective provinces, Universities, and colleges.
