SEDGEFIELD NEWS - Residents of Sedgefield came together at the village green for a community braai on Heritage Day, Thursday 24 September, organised by the Sedgefield Lions Club.
The braai was aimed at bringing together the Slow Town's residents to celebrate the diverse heritage of our country.
The braai fires were already lit by 10:30, and those attending could just pitch up and enjoy the afternoon while being entertained by local DJ Mobi Dique and local muso Charl Marais.
Those who did not bring their own meat and other foods were definitely not left high and dry, as there were plenty boerie rolls, chicken pregos, pancakes and cupcakes for sale, and proceeds went towards charity in the form of donations. The cupcakes were prepared by Cupcakes4Kids, with all of their proceeds going to Cansa.

While the moms and dads could enjoy each other's company, the kiddies took part in some fun old-fashioned outdoor games, with the Lions Club's team of Leos on hand to help with the games.
Local DJ Mobi Dique was on the decks on the day.
Muso Charl Marais entertained those who attended the day with live music.
