PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The first day of school for the Grade Ones at Bahia Formosa School started with excitement among the little ones.
They reacted to teacher Linda Visser’s requests instantaneously and responded to her questions with enthusiasm.
“Hands up those who can write their names,” asked Visser.
And in a flash almost the entire class’s hands were raised.
Starting their new life journey also comes with a measure of discipline.
“Getting to know them, and allowing them to get to know each other” was the priority for the day, according to Visser.
Visser and teacher Thandi Ntsali spent the morning getting the little bright faces into a routine and introducing them to classroom procedures.
They even had a go at the building blocks provided, starting to build their school career with fun activities.
